CHENEY, Wash. — The Eastern Washington men's basketball team will embark on an 11-day tour overseas later this month, departing August 16 for a team-building trip with stops in England and Spain.

With the goal of creating chemistry within the team and learning about different cultures and traditions, the Eagles will stop in London from August 16-19. They'll play in an exhibition on August 18 at the University of Essex, about 40 miles southeast of Bury St. Edmonds, the hometown of junior forward Ethan Price.

Price, now a two-time All-Big Sky performer and 2021-22 Big Sky Freshman of the Year, competed at nearby Ipswich Basketball Academy and for the Essex Rebels of England's NBL Division I as a prep.

The Eagles will then hop on to Spain, home country of current assistant coach Pedro Garcia Rosado. They'll visit the southern coastal city of Málaga from Aug. 19-23, playing an exhibition on Aug. 21 at The Embassy in Fuengirola.

They'll then head inland to Spain's capital city of Madrid. Their third and final exhibition of the trip will be at Zentro Academy, a club that competes in Spain's third division, on Aug. 25.

Beyond some on-court activities, the team will utilize the time together to visit historical sites, discover each city and explore different cuisines.
