Eagles fall in rematch against Griz

Eastern Washington fell to Montana in the Friday evening matchup

CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington women's tennis hosted Montana on Friday in the second matchup this season between the two teams. Eastern dropped the match, 6-1, winning five singles and the doubles point. EWU drops to 1-2 in the Big Sky and 3-11 overall. 

The Grizzlies went up 2-0 on the Eagles after winning two of the doubles matches and winning at No. 1 singles.

 Isabella Foshee cut the lead in half with a win at the No. 4 singles spot. The junior defeated Maria Goheen in straight sets, blanking Gohee in the first set 6-0, adding a 6-4 win in the second. 

Montana then surged to victory with four wins in singles.
