POCATELLO, Idaho — Eastern Washington women's tennis played the first of its final two road matches today against Idaho State. The Bengals won the match, 6-1, taking five-of-six singles matches, along with the doubles point. Eastern falls to 1-5 in the Big Sky and 3-14 overall.
Leandra Nizetic won her match at the No. 4 spot against Asem Shoybek in straight sets (6-3, 6-1).
Isabella Foshee opened strong against Stefanya Shalakhova, winning the first set 6-2. She dropped the second set in a close, 7-5 battle, and the third set, 10-7.
Foshee partnered with Scout Mathews and the two nearly had a win at the No. 1 doubles against Lola and Sol O'Lideadha, 7-6.
