CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington women's soccer's exhibition game against Washington on Monday (Aug. 5), will begin earlier than originally scheduled at EWU Soccer Field. The opening match for Eastern was originally set for 1 p.m. Pacific Time and will now start at 11 a.m. due to extreme heat in the forecast. 

The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning for the Spokane area that extends into this coming Saturday (Aug. 3). 

The match on Monday will also be the first contest for the Huskies in 2024.
