CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington women's soccer dropped a tough road match on Sunday afternoon, falling 5–0 to Sacramento State. The Eagles battled throughout but were unable to find their offensive rhythm, recording 11 shots with three on target.
Sacramento State capitalized on their chances, scoring five times in the second half to put the match out of reach.
Kamryn Willoughby stood tall in goal for EWU, making six saves while facing constant pressure. The Eagles also picked up a pair of yellow cards in the contest, showing the physical nature of the match. With the result, Eastern moves to 5-5-4 on the season and 1-2-1 in Big Sky Conference play.
