CHENEY, Wash. - The Eagle Athletic Fund (EAF) is excited to launch the Rise Up 509 Campaign, an initiative to rally the community to help support student-athletes by securing 509 new donors in 2025.

This campaign, which aims to surpass the milestone of 1,000 total donors, will directly impact the lives of student-athletes, providing them with crucial resources and opportunities to excel both on and off the field.

The Rise Up 509 Campaign encourages individuals who have not yet donated to the Eagle Athletic Fund to join the movement. With a donation of at least $50.90, new donors can make a meaningful contribution to build the future and sustainability of EWU Athletics.

"The Rise Up 509 Campaign is an exciting opportunity to come together and show our commitment to our student-athletes," said Rickie Alvarez, Associate Athletic Director, Development. "We are Spokane County's team, and our student-athletes deserve to feel the support of not only the 45,000 alumni living in Spokane County, but the more than 123,000 EWU alumni across the world, Spokane County is just the start. Whether it's providing scholarships, nutritional supplementation, or enhancing athletic facilities, your contribution will help elevate the entire athletic department."

The Eagle Athletic Fund is dedicated to ensuring that all student-athletes have the tools they need to thrive. Donations to the EAF support critical areas such as:

·       Scholarship Support: Provides opportunities and access to higher education for young men and women to earn their degrees while competing in the red and white.
·       Nutritional Supplementation: Ensuring student-athletes have access to the proper nutrition they need to perform at their best.
·       Facility Enhancements: Improving athletic facilities to provide the best possible environment for training and competition.
