CHENEY, Wash. — The Big Sky Conference has released its 2026 Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Coaches' Polls, with Northern Arizona once again projected to sweep both titles.
Eastern Washington's men were picked to finish ninth with 32 points, while the women were selected eighth with 38 points. Despite the preseason projections, the Eagles opened their 2026 outdoor campaign in dominant fashion last weekend at the Sam Adams Classic, sweeping both team titles. The men claimed first place with 72 points, and the women followed with 69, finishing ahead of Gonzaga, Spokane CC, Idaho, Lewis-Clark State, and Whitworth.
The annual coaches' polls are voted on by the conference's head coaches, who are allowed to vote for their own programs. Northern Arizona received 10 first-place votes on the men's side and eight on the women's side.
The 2026 Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set for Wednesday, May 13 through Saturday, May 16 in Portland, Oregon.
Eastern Washington returns to action next weekend at the UNLV Rebel Elite in Las Vegas, Nevada, with competition running Friday, April 3 through Saturday, April 4.
