CHENEY, Wash. — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced that both the Eastern Washington University men's and women's track & field teams have been named 2025-26 USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, recognizing the Eagles' excellence in the classroom.

"I am super proud of this team as we continue build towards being the best student-athletes the can be," said Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Erin Tucker. "Four years in a row we've earned All-Academic honors in both cross country and track & field. We are champions in the classroom as well as students of our sport! Go Eags!"

Eastern also had two student-athletes earn individual USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors. Cort Gebbers and Jordyn Grady were the only Eagles recognized on the men's and women's teams, respectively.

The USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award is presented to NCAA Division I programs that achieve a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Team GPAs are calculated using all student-athletes listed on the institution's NCAA squad list for the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons and must be certified by the institution's NCAA Faculty Representative, Compliance Coordinator, or Registrar.

To determine a team's cumulative GPA, institutions total the credit hours earned and quality points accumulated by all eligible student-athletes, then divide total quality points by total credit hours. Schools using grading systems other than a 4.0 scale convert their GPA using the USTFCCCA's standardized formula.
