GREENWOOD, Ind. — The academic excellence of Eastern Washington Track & Field continues to rise as senior triple jumper Merci Migani has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team.

To earn Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher while competing in at least 90 percent of their team's scheduled events or starting in at least 66 percent of competitions.

Migani excelled both in the classroom and on the track this season. He earned a runner-up finish in the triple jump at the Big Sky Conference Championships and moved into sixth place in Eastern Washington's outdoor record book. His standout season also earned him a berth to the NCAA West First Rounds, where he finished 42nd nationally in the west.
