The Eastern Washington University's women's tennis team will take on Northern Arizona in a Big Sky match up this Sunday, March 26 with matches beginning at 2 p.m. in Flagstaff. The Big Sky competition will continue on March 30 when the Eagles take on Southern Utah with matches starting at 10 a.m. in Cedar City.
The Eagles are currently 4-9 overall and 2-2 in the conference, sitting in eighth place. Northern Arizona has an overall record of 10-3 and is 5-0 in the Big Sky, sitting in first place. Southern Utah is in 11th place with a 1-13 record and is 0-6 in the conference.
 EWU is coming off a little break as they have not played since March 11 when they defeated Portland State in a 4-3 team win. Their last home match took place on March 8 when they took on the University of Idaho.
Senior Erin Blessing has the best singles record out of the athletes who have competed in every match with a 5-8 record in the No. 2 and 3 spots. In conference play, sophomore Faye Worrall has the best record in singles at 3-1. In doubles, senior Katrina Domingo and freshman Valentina Sottile has the best overall record at 6-4 in the No. 2 and 3 spots. The duo also leads the best record in conference with a 3-1 record.
Northern Arizona leads the overall series with a 17-2 record against the Eagles. Last year, EWU defeated NAU with a team score of 4-3 on Feb. 7 in Cheney. Their other win against the Lumberjacks was from 1988.
Southern Utah and Eastern are equal at a 2-2 overall series record. Last year, EWU won 5-2 in Cheney. Their one other win came in 2005.
The Eagles have a chance to hand NAU their first loss in the conference this season. So far this season, Northern Arizona has defeated Idaho State, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Sacramento State and Southern Utah in the Big Sky.
Southern Utah has yet to win a conference match and their one win was against Lewis-Clark State College.
The Eagles will return home after these two matches with taking on Sacramento State on April 2.
