Pradel earns final Big Sky Player of the Week

Zoe Pradel picked up her first weekly honor in the final week of the season

FARMINGTON, Utah — The season of firsts continues for the Eastern Washington women's tennis roster as Zoe Pradel earned Big Sky Tennis Player of the Week. The award is Pradel's first of her career.

Pradel went 2-0 in Eastern Washington's final match of the regular season against Idaho, helping the
Eagles win the match 6-1. Pradel cruised at the No. 3 singles, defeating the Vandals' Hanna Koprowska in two sets (6-4, 6-3). In doubles, Pradel and Olivia Marais dominated Koprowska and Ida Johansson 6-1 at the No. 1 spot.

The Toulouse, France native finished the season 5-3 in Big Sky singles matches and 11-8 overall, tied for the team lead in wins. Playing with Marais, the duo went 4-3 in conference doubles matches to lead the Eagles, going 7-9 overall, second on the team. 


With Pradel's award, EWU has earned three tennis Player of the Weeks for 2025-26, with Marais and Anait Arutiunian earning the honors earlier this season. Both earned their first weekly honor as well.


Pradel and the rest of the Eagles prepare for the Big Sky Championships on Thursday (April 23) as the No. 4 seed against No. 5 Idaho. First serve for the match is scheduled for 8 a.m. Pacific Time from Phoenix, Ariz.
