More comments from head coach Stan Kerr . . .

"Isaac Barville's mile effort was particularly impressive because he led the race from start to finish. Distance races typically have a rabbit to help set a specific pace. Today however, Isaac threw the race on his back and did all the work by himself."

"Bobby Say had a great breakthrough in the triple jump. He won the event, PR'd, and knows better jumps are still ahead."

"The sprint and hurdle squad continued to generate strong marks. As did the throwers and rest of the jumps crew."

"Next week's meet in Bozeman will be a good one. Five Big Sky programs will go at it. The five include EWU, UM, MSU, Idaho State and Weber State."

"Many of the conference's top performers will be competing. That has us excited as well as competing at the venue which will host the indoor championships at month's end."

"It was good to see our whole crew competing again. Our top event had to be the pole vault. We swept the top four spots, with Liz Prouty winning followed by Samantha Raines, Katrina Terry, and Haley Ruff."

"Madi Doepker and Paris Flenoy both hit some big throws in the weight. They were overdue to throw big and it finally started clicking for them. Madi placed second over all but won the team battle coming out on top for the EWU weight throwers with a nice personal record. Paris doubled back and placed second in the shot with a big personal best in that event. Paris's performance today in both the weight and the shot ranks as one of the top three best indoor throws doubles in Eastern history.."

"Maegan McCurdy is starting to show some consistency in the long jump. She had a great series and ended up placing third. The same thing is happening for Dominique Butler in the triple jump. She jumped 38 plus for the second week in a row and with that jump placed second for the team."

"Sophie Bowles and Aulane Mpouli had a fantastic day in the 200. I was so pleased to see them not only place third and fourth but run in the mid to low 25's."
