CHENEY, Wash.-- The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team returns to competition this weekend when they head to Idaho State (March 2) and Weber State (March 3). Following this weekend's sweep over Big Sky Conference opponent Northern Colorado (7-0), the Eagles now sit at an overall record of 4-4 and are 2-0 in Big Sky play.
"The transition back into conference play was really good for us this past weekend and we look to continue the momentum with two tough conference matchups on the road this weekend," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "The team has been very motivated and they are continuing to work hard to develop and build upon what we've started so far this season. They trust the process and they are seeing results, which only helps to build confidence and inner belief regarding what we can accomplish this season. I expect matches to be very tough from here on out and I expect nothing less than our best effort out there on court."
Eastern will head to Idaho State first this Saturday in Pocatello, Idaho. The Bengals are 3-3 on the 2019 schedule with victories over Utah State (4-3), Irvine Valley College (7-0) and Chapman University (9-0).
