CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team hosted Whitworth tonight (Jan. 31) for its home opener where they came away with a 7-0 victory.
"I'm very happy with the team's performance today. They played relaxed and aggressive tennis and were able to dictate play throughout the match. We faced challenging moments against a very gritty team who got a lot of balls in play," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "I'm encouraged by the poise we showed in those moments to stick to our brand of tennis and finish strong. I'm happy with the motivation we had to put in the work and to play our aggressive style of tennis. This was a great way to start the weekend and we are really looking forward to the challenge we face tomorrow against a strong Gonzaga team."
