CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team prepares to face Arizona at a neutral site in Pullman, Wash., tomorrow (March 16) with the match set to begin at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time. The Eagles head into the non-conference match with an overall record of 3-5 and returning from a 5-2 victory over Seattle University in their last match.

"We have played some really tough non-conference matches this year, and this is no different. Arizona brings a lot of talent to the court but we are ready for the challenge. We know we can match up well against them," said head coach Dustin Hinson. "I'm looking for a strong start to the match with our doubles play and then we have to carry good energy into singles. We expect a battle and we will be ready."

The match will mark the first time Eastern has competed against Arizona in program history. The Wildcats are led by Ryan Stotland who enters his third season at the helm. Arizona has an 8-6 overall record and currently on a three-match losing streak with losses against Oregon, Washington and Washington State, respectively. Futhermore, sophomore Khim Iglupas is on a seven-match winning streak at the No.6 singles spot for Arizona.

Following the match, the Eagles take on Washington State on Saturday, March 20 and Lewis-Clark State on Sunday, March 21. The first match is set to begin at 12 p.m. Pacific time in Pullman, Wash., while the second is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. PT in Lewiston, Idaho.
