CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team hosted Sacramento State today inside the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse and vanquished the Hornets 5-2 following dominant singles play performances. The Big Sky Conference victory puts the Eagles at 4-11 overall and 3-4 in conference play.
"I'm really proud of what we accomplished today as a team. We had to really dig deep to pull through in some pressure situations, in both doubles and singles," said head coach
Dustin Hinson. "I'm very happy that the team gets to feel the satisfaction of a win for their efforts. They have all battled through some really tough things all season long and to push through and empty the tank in this moment is gritty and something they can be proud of. We are hoping to use this momentum to finish strong next Sunday in our last regular season conference match against Idaho on Senior Day."
