FARMINGTON, Utah —
Eastern Washington University guard Jake Kyman has been named Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Kyman paced the Eagles in their important 73-68 road win over the Air Force Falcons on Saturday, scoring a career-high 25 points for the second consecutive game. The grad transfer sharpshooter shot 6-for-10 from the field and 4-for-6 from beyond the arc while converting 9-of-10 chances from the free throw line. He scored the Eags' final 10 points in the critical non-conference victory; Eastern boasts the second-toughest strength of schedule in the NCAA through 8 games played.

Kyman also scored 25 the week prior (at USC) after his previous career-high was 21 (as a freshman at UCLA). After starting the year shooting cold, he has flipped the switch over his last four games, making 22/38 FG (.579) and 17/26 3PT (.654). His 9 FTs on Saturday also marked a new career high.

Kyman is the first Eagle to win Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors this season. EWU earned the award four times last year: G Steele Venters twice, G Angelo Allegri once and G/F Cedric Coward once.

Eastern hosts Portland Bible College at Reese Court in Cheney on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Season tickets for EWU men's and women's basketball are now available and start as low as $100! Tickets for basketball and all EWU Athletics events are available at goeags.com/tickets or via the EWU Athletics Ticket Office at 509-359-6059.
