Eastern Washington women's tennis took on Gonzaga today (March 4) in Spokane, Wash., and dropped the match 4-0 at the Stevens Center. The Eagles fell to the Zags with one doubles match and three singles matches unfinished, as they move to 2-6 overall and return to Big Sky Conference play next weekend.
In doubles, Renata Gabuzyan and Kenzington Mann teamed up at No. 2 and collected one point but ultimately fell 6-1. In singles, Scout Mathews and Leandra Nizetic found some success, battling at No. 1 and 2, but eventually fell to the Zags after collecting a few points in their favor. Gabuzyan rallied to win her first set, 6-3 at No. 3 singles, but the match would end unfinished in the second set.
