11/20/2024 10:04:00 AM

CHENEY, Wash. -  After the 2024 fall tournament season, EWU Women's Tennis will look towards their 2025 spring season when they open up the season at home January 12th, and host UC Davis.

The Eagles will have 18 matches this spring, and will host five home matches. EWU will then be on the road for eight straight matches.

The 2025 spring non-conference schedule includes matches against in-state foes Washington State and Gonzaga, as well as other opponents such as BYU, Boise State, and Portland.

The Eagles will open up Big Sky conference play on the road against the Idaho Vandals, March 2nd. Eastern will then return home after a long road trip with back-to-back matches against conference foes Weber State and Northern Arizona on March 15th and March 16th.

EWU Women's Tennis will then be back on the road for their next three matches, including Big Sky opponent Sacramento State March 23rd. The Eagles will then finish their home season with a match against Idaho State April 12th, and then senior day on April 13th against Portland State.

Eastern will finish the season off in big sky country the following week with matches against Montana State and Montana on April 18th and 20th, before the Big Sky Championships the following week, April 24th-26th.

As a team, the Eagles recorded 15 singles wins in their three tournaments this fall.

For the fall season, senior Isabella Foshee recorded five singles wins, and two doubles wins with other senior Kenzington Mann.

The fall has been great for the Eagles. Head coach Dustion Hinson said he is pleased with team chemistry, and certain players stepping up into a leadership role to carry that into the spring season.

"I'm excited for the dual match season we have scheduled this year. This Fall season showed me a lot already…we have a very unified team that has made it their goal to have a winning culture first and foremost. They are willing to put in the work everyday to be their best this upcoming season and they have the desire to not let anything get in the way of that goal. We have some strong teams on the schedule and I know we are up for the challenge," Hinson said.
