Eagles fall to Mustangs in Boise

Eastern Washington began its two-match road trip in Idaho on Friday morning

BOISE, ID — Eastern Washington men's tennis traveled down to Boise to play a neutral match against Cal Poly, before taking on the hosts, Boise State Broncos, tomorrow. The Mustangs defeated the Eagles, 6-1 in the morning matchup. Eastern now falls to 0-4 on the season.

Sophomore Caden Kammerer earned a point for EWU in singles, playing at the No. 2 spot against Colter Smith. After battling to a 7-5 win in the first set, Kammerer secured the point with a 6-3 victory in the second set.

At the No. 5 position, sophomore Arshjot Bhatti competed well against Sean Kamyshev. Bhatti went in front in the match after a 6-3 victory in the first set. The Calgary, Alberta native fell 6-3 in the second set and could not secure the win in the third, coming up short, 10-8.
