Vandals halt Eagles at home

Eastern Washington lost on the EWU Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.

CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington men's tennis was at home again and hosted Idaho outside at the EWU Tennis Courts. The Eagles fell to the Vandals, 7-0, after failing to secure a point. EWU is now 0-3 in conference and 0-9 overall. 

The Vandals opened fast with a win in doubles for the 1-0 advantage. Eastern then dropped the six single matches/

Tyler Waddock battled at the No. 2 spot against Taiyo Kurata. Waddock forced a third-set tie breaker with a 6-4 win in the second set, after dropping the first (6-4). Kurata then secured the point after a 10-8 win in the third set.
