CHENEY, Wash. — The regular season is nearly here for Eastern Washington football and the local broadcast schedule is set. SWX will broadcast six Eastern football games, with five home matchups and one on the road.
The Eagles have five or their six home games airing on SWX, including the first two games against Monmouth (Aug. 29) at 6 p.m. and Drake (Sept. 7) at 4 p.m.
Eastern's road trip south to play Idaho on Oct. 26 will also be broadcast on SWX, kicking off from Moscow at 6 p.m.
The only home game not being broadcast on SWX is the Nov. 2 game against Montana State, as Scripps will
SWX will also carry the Scripps' broadcast of the Montana game on Sept. 28 in all of its Washington markets.
All Eastern Washington games are streamed live on ESPN+.
EWU was picked sixth in the Big Sky preseason media poll and eighth in the coaches' poll. Efton Chism III earned preseason All-Conference honors from the conference, receiving the most votes of any wide receiver. The All-Conference selection is one of several preseason recognitions Chism has received. The senior was joined by
Michael Wortham as preseason All-Americans from
FCS Stats Perform and Phil Steele. In addition to Chism and Wortham, nine Eagles earned spots on Steele's preseason All-Big Sky team.
