CHENEY, Wash. —  Another week, another weekly award for junior forward Chloe Pattison, as she was named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week announced by the conference today. This is Pattison's second straight Big Sky Player of the Week honor, and the third time an Eagle has been named Player of the Week this season.

Over the weekend, the Eagles split their first two of four matches against Mountain West opponents to close out the non-conference schedule. Pattison recorded four goals, one assist, nine total points, with eight shots, and five of them on goal. Pattison recorded a .625% shot on goal percentage, and a .500% shooting percentage overall.

Pattison has also recorded seven goals in her five match scoring streak, and leads the Big Sky in goals scored (7) and total points (15).

In their 4-1 home win over San Jose State on Thursday, the offense had a slow start until the reigning Player of the Week Pattison would tie the match 1-1 and score in the 28th minute. The offense would then take the 2-1 lead shortly after, before Pattison recorded her second goal of the match in the 42nd minute to take the 3-1 lead. In the second half, Pattison would record her fifth point of the match, and her first assist of the season in the 59th minute on a pass to Delani Walker who recorded the goal to extend Eastern's 4-1 lead.

Before the match, the Eagles were 1-2-7 in their last 10 matches against Mountain West Conference teams, and had a 9 nine-match winless streak, losing six in a row to the conference. They recorded their first win over the conference since 2019, when they beat Nevada on the road 1-0 in overtime.

In their road match Sunday against San Diego State, the offense would start a little slow again. In the 31st minute, Pattison would record a goal in her fifth straight match for her sixth goal of the season. Coming out of halftime, Pattison would score yet again, recording her seventh goal of the season in the 50th minute to take the 2-1 lead, before falling 4-2 to the Aztecs. Pattison recorded two goals for the second straight match, has seven goals for the season, and 10 in her Eagle career.

Pattison has been the leader of Eastern's offense so far this season, which has led to some early season success. The Eagles are one of three teams in the Big Sky with a winning percentage over .500 (4-3-1). As a team, Eastern leads the Big Sky in scoring average (2.125), goals scored (17), total points (45), and corners (50).

EWU soccer will host their final matches of non-conference play this week. The Eagles will host UNLV (2-3-1) Thursday, September 19 at 4 pm, and host Boise State (6-1-0) Sunday, September 22 at 1 pm. Both matches will be streaming live on ESPN+
