CHENEY, Wash. - The Eagles (3-9) stay hot with a 4-3 victory over Seattle University (1-4). The two teams met in Cheney for the seventh time in their 21st all-time meeting. The Eagles moved to 17-4 overall against the Redhawks.

"I am just thrilled and just super happy for the guys to get this win this way and go through the weekend. It's just a testament to the work they've been putting in how hard they worked to earn these victories. They're just a great group of guys and it has been super fun working with them. I'm just thrilled that they're able to feel this success on the court that they work so hard for," head coach Dustin Hinson said.

In doubles, Eastern would run a different lineup after having the same lineup for four matches straight.

Eastern's No. 1 doubles match of Tyler Dalos/Tyler Waddock would see the Eagles jump out to a 4-1 lead over Filip Stipic/Jun Sasagawa from Seattle. The duo would be able to control the pace of the match and would win 6-2. With the win, the two would win their first doubles dual-match together. Waddock earned his fifth doubles match of the season, and the seventh of his career. Dalos recorded his second doubles win of the season and the ninth of his career.

In the Eastern's No. 2 doubles, Arshjot Bhatti/Drew Dillon would be behind 3-2, but would be able to make it 4-4. Yuan Lu/Yu-Han Hsieh from Seattle would be able to rally off two straight and win the doubles dual-match.

No. 3 doubles Caden Kammerer/Brady Thomas represented the Eagles and saw a competitive first five games. After falling behind 3-2, the duo would be unable to pull out the win, and fall 6-3.

Tyler Waddock would represent the Eagles in the No. 1 position. Waddock would be able to control the first set and win 6-3. The second set would be the same as the first set. Waddock controlled the pace again and would win 6-3 to win his fourth singles dual-match of the season, and the seventh of his career.

Tyler Dalos in the No. 2 singles position would fall behind 3-2 early, but would rally off two games in a row to take the 4-3 first set lead. Dalos would carry that momentum and win the first set 6-4. In the second, Dalos would be able to surge to a 4-1 lead, and finish with a 6-1 victory. With the win, Dalos recorded his third singles dual-match victory of the season, and the eighth of his career.

Drew Dillon in the No. 3 position would fall 6-0 in the first set. In the second, Dillon would keep it tight throughout the set, but would be unable to take a lead and fall 6-4.

Caden Kammerer would represent the Eagles in the No. 4 position. After a first set 6-3 loss, Kammerer would jump out to a 4-1 lead in the second set, and cruise to a 6-1 second set win to force a third set. Kammerer put on a clinic with a  6-0  win for his team-leading fifth dual-match win of the season, and the ninth of his Eagle career. Kammerer has now won four straight singles dual-matches, and improved his singles record to 5-5 on the season

Senior Brady Thomas would sit at the No. 6 position for the Eagles, and would see a narrow lead the entire game. Thomas would come out with a 6-4 first set victory. In the second Dario Ristovski would respond and win the second set 6-0 and force a tiebreaker. Ristovski jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the tiebreaker. Thomas would respond however, and win three out of the next four points to make it a one point deficit. Ristovski would again increase his lead 8-4, and would be able to pull out the 10-6 victory and leave it to the No. 5 singles dual-match to decide the match.

In the No. 5 position, Arshjot Bhatti jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first set. Bhatti would see no challenge in the rest of the first and win 6-2. In the second Bhatti jumped out to a 2-1 lead. Michael Frank would however turn the tide and win the next five games and win the second set 6-2 and force a tiebreaker. Bhatti would come out strong in the tiebreaker and take the 4-2 lead. Frank would be able to tie it 4-4, but Bhatti would not panic. After taking a 7-5 lead, Bhatti would use that to win the tiebreaker 10-6 and give the Eagles the win over the Redhawks 4-3. Bhatti secured his fourth victory of the season and the sixth of his career.
