CHENEY, Wash. The difference a week makes for Eastern Washington football as they completed their second scrimmage of the spring season today.

After allowing seven touchdowns in the first scrimmage a week ago, the defense limited the offense to one this afternoon. Eastern now moves to its final week of spring ball, with 11 total practices to date, including the two scrimmages.

Jared Taylor organized the offenses' touchdown drive, firing a 18-yard pass to Nolan Ulm in the right corner of the endzone. Taylor led four drives, finishing the day 15-of-22 (68.2%) for 166 yards and the touchdown. Ulm looked re-energized on the field, catching five passes for 79 yards and a score.

On the defensive side, Drew Carter delivered in the secondary, intercepting one pass and breaking up two more passes.

Isaiah Perez found the quarterbacks in the backfield for a pair of sacks. Ethan Williamson and Jirah Leaupepetele combined for another sack. Zion Jones also recorded a pass break up.

Nate Bell put together a solid day in four drives, completing 7-of-11 (63.6%) passes for 129 yards. Bell completed a 51-yard pass to Braden Kuik that set the offense up in the red zone. Soren McKee capitalized on the opportunity with a 30-yard field goal.

Kuik finished with 61 yards on two catches. Boden Gardner continued his string spring, going for 62 yards on four receptions.
