The Eagles take a four-game winning streak on the road for the final time in the regular season, opening at Sacramento State on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. before heading to Portland, Ore., to face Portland State on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. Eastern enters the trip with momentum after sweeping Idaho State (88–75) and Weber State
(84–66) at home, fueled by efficient offense, defensive pressure, and balanced production throughout the lineup. The pair of wins kept Eastern firmly in the upper tier of the Big Sky standings with two conference games remaining.
Alton Hamilton IV paced the Eagles across the weekend with 42 total points on 66 percent shooting and a near-perfect 17-of-18 mark at the free-throw line, while also contributing three steals, three blocks, seven rebounds, and seven assists. He scored 18 in the win over Idaho State before erupting for a career-high 24 against Weber State on 9-of-10 shooting and 9-of-9 at the line. Hamilton also ranks fifth in the Big Sky in offensive rebounding at 2.50 per game, underscoring his impact on both ends of the floor.
Isaiah Moses continues to lead the Big Sky in free-throw percentage at 93 percent, a figure that ranks seventh nationally, and sits sixth in scoring, ninth in field-goal percentage, and eighth in assists in the conference. Kiree Huie remains one of the league's top interior defenders at 1.17 blocks per game (third), while also providing efficient scoring inside. Against Idaho State, Moses led with 19 points while Hamilton and Huie added 18 apiece, and Jojo Anderson delivered 11 points with a career-high nine assists as Eastern shot 56 percent and turned 13 turnovers into 22 points. The Eagles then overwhelmed Weber State with 60 percent shooting and a 51–24 halftime lead behind Hamilton's 24 and Huie's 20, controlling the paint and limiting second chances.
Across the two games, Eastern combined high-efficiency scoring with active defense and depth, getting steady playmaking from Moses and Anderson and valuable bench contributions from Emmett Marquardt and Johnny Radford. After being outrebounded by Idaho State, the Eagles responded by tightening their interior defense and limiting Weber State to one-shot possessions, sustaining energy from the opening tip. The weekend sweep reinforced Eastern's balanced identity and confidence heading into critical road tests against Sacramento State and Portland State.
