The Eastern Washington University's men's tennis team will be on the road this week to play Weber State University on Friday, March 17 with matches beginning at 5 p.m. The Eagles enter the competition undefeated in the Big Sky at 3-0 and has an 8-4 overall record.
Eastern will also be competing in Big Sky competition the following day, March 18 against Idaho State. Matches will begin at 11 a.m.
The Eagles will be coming off a double header weekend after hosting Radford on March 10 and Air Force on March 11. Eastern went 1-1 on the weekend after defeating Radford 4-3 and falling to Air Force by 4-3. The No. 1 singles spot, Senior Robert Dula was not able to play in either of the matches for the Eagles.
Weber State has only played one Big Sky match, defeating Northern Colorado 6-1 on Feb. 26. They will be coming off a 4-2 win over Santa Clara on March 3, making their record 5-4 overall.
In last year's match up, the Eagles hosted Weber State and lost 7-0. The Wildcats lead the overall series by a slim margin of 10-7.
Against Idaho State last year, Eastern lost 6-1 on March 5 in Cheney. The Bengals lead the series against Eastern by a dominate 19-8 overall.
So far this year, Idaho State is 5-5 overall and is 2-2 in the Big Sky.
