FULL RESULTS
CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team hosted Northern Arizona today (Mar. 10) and lost 6-1 after a long match. The Eagles are now 6-6 overall and 2-3 in conference.
Scott Paz and Flavien Raveau opened up doubles play for the Eagles but fell 5-7. Victor Pereira and Jeremy Field worked together to come out with the lone doubles win for the Eagles at 6-4. Jeremy Mueller and Ricardo Almeida teamed up in the No. 3 spot but fell to their opponents 3-6 to give NAU the doubles point.
In the No. 1 singles spot, Paz fell to NAU's top player Tim Handel (2-6, 4-6). Field claimed his second win of the day with a three-set victory over NAU (7-5, 4-6, 10-6). Raveau followed with a 4-6, 2-6 loss in the No. 3 spot as well as Mueller (5-7, 0-6) and Pereira (6-2, 3-6, 8-10). Almeida ended the day for the Eagles and fell 3-6, 3-6.
Eastern looks forward to hosting Portland State tomorrow (Mar. 11) for another conference battle. The match will take place in the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse and is open and complimentary to the public.
