EWU Concludes Match Against Pacific with a Loss of 6-1

Eagles finish their trio of matches when they face off against San Francisco tomorrow at 1 p.m. PT

STOCKTON, Calif.-- The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team competed in Stockton, Calif., today as they took on the Pacific Tigers to a loss of 6-1.

"Today was a bit of a drop off from yesterday," said head coach Steve Clark. "We had a few matchup problems and game style differences which can be kryptonite. The highlights from today's match included Mikayel Khachatryan and Jeremy Field's win in their doubles match and Wout Doumen's first collegiate win after being extremely nervous yesterday. Doumen was able to win in three sets with everybody watching and we won number one doubles again. In all, it was a close match in some fashion. Courts one through three had at least six games that went to a sudden death in the first eight games, but they went the other way so we got down quickly, unfortunately. These are molding moments and we will more onward."
