CHENEY, Wash.-- The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team hosts its first home match of the 2019 schedule this Friday (Feb. 1) against the visiting Sacramento State Hornets. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. Pacific time at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse.
"We are looking forward to playing our first match on the new indoor courts," said head coach Steve Clark. "We want to thank all of the folks who worked to get them ready for the first home event for us and the women this weekend."
Eastern returns to play after dropping its season-opening matches on the road to UC Davis (Jan. 18) and Pacific (Jan. 19), losing both contests by a score of 6-1. The Eagles now have an overall record of 0-2 leading up to Friday's match against Big Sky Conference opponent Sacramento State. Both

Mikayel Khachatryan are undefeated at the No. 1 doubles position.
The Hornets are led by head coach Kevin Kurtz, who is in his 14th season as head coach. Sacramento State has an overall record of 0-3 with losses against UC Davis (6-1), FGCU (5-2) and Grand Canyon (7-0).
Following Eastern's match this Friday (Feb. 1) the Eagles will take a short break from competition before heading to Weber State on February 23rd for their second Big Sky Conference match of the 2019 season.
