CHENEY, Wash. – Eastern Washington University head soccer coach
Chad Bodnar has announced the addition of six new Eagles on the first day of the national signing period (Nov. 13).
Madelyn Brothers (Maple Valley, Wash. / Tahoma HS), Anessa "Nessi" Campos (Riverside, Calif. / Grand Terrace HS), Kiara Matson (Folsom, Calif. / Vista Del Lago HS), Grace Terrill (Ronald, Wash. / Cle Elum Roslyn HS), Alexis "LuLu" Sadler (Camas, Wash. / Mountain View HS) and Maddy Pravongviengkham (Lake Elsinore, Calif. / Temescal Canyon HS) will all join the Eagles as true freshmen prior to the 2020 season.
"We are excited to introduce this class of players to the Eagle family," said Bodnar. "We have a great young returning group of players and with adding the athleticism of the 2019 class, we are looking forward to seeing what the future holds."

Madelyn Brothers | Maple Valley, Wash. | Tahoma HS | 5-7 | Forward
Madelyn Brothers is an in-state product who played soccer all four years at Tahoma High School.
Brothers was named a Defensive MVP for the Bears in 2017 and earned an honorable mention nod in 2018.
In 2017 and 2018, she was selected to the Washington State ODP Travel Team as a defender and the team claimed the ODP West Championship title. Her club team also won a state championship in 2017.
As a sophomore, she scored six goals and added two assists for 14 points on the year.
CLUB TEAM: Pac Northwest, Washington
PERSONAL: Daughter of Trini and Todd Brothers… Plans to major in business or entrepreneurship at Eastern Washington.
BODNAR BITE: "Maddy is a hard-working player who is extremely athletic. Her pace and ability to close down players is fun to watch. We are excited to see her grow and develop in our system."

Anessa "Nessi" Campos | Riverside, Calif. | Grand Terrace HS | 5-6 | Forward
Anessa Campos is coming to Cheney from Riverside, Calif., where she earned a letter in softball, four in soccer and was also the varsity baseball team manager for two seasons.
A scholar athlete for three consecutive seasons, Campos earned First Team All-Sunkist League in 2018 and 2019 and was also named the offensive MVP. Campos is also a member of the current United States Women's National Deaf Team.
Academically, she was named to Tomorrow's Leaders recognition, Principal's Honor Roll and the Aces Academic Recognition.
She led her team to a CIF semifinal appearance in softball in addition to a Sunkist league championship in 2017. She also led the Titans to a Sunkist league championship title in back-to-back seasons for soccer. Campos was also a member of the 2018 and 2019 ODP team.
Through 70 games at Grand Terrace High School, Campos has scored 21 goals and dished out 11 assists to total 53 points. She has taken 82 shots and 12 of her 21 goals were scored as a junior.
CLUB TEAM: Legends, Southern California
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kelly and John Campos… Plans to major in social work so she can support and assist with families and children who have experienced trauma or hardship.
BODNAR BITE: "Nessi is a creative player with a lot of attacking qualities you don't see often. She likes to play off the edges and will fit in to our style of play well as likes to run at defenders. Her ability to go at people one-on-one really made her stand out and her work rate is second to none."

Kiara Matson | Folsom, Calif. | Vista Del Lago HS | 5-9 | Goalkeeper
Kiara Matson comes to Cheney from Folsom, Calif., where she played soccer at Vista Del Lago High School.
After recording a zero goals against average in 2016 and 2017, she was named the Most Inspirational Player her sophomore year. She also competed for a Surf Cup Championships.
CLUB TEAM: Placer United, Northern California
PERSONAL: Plans to major in kinesiology or physical therapy with aspirations of becoming a physical therapist.
BODNAR BITE: "Kiara has a great frame and is athletic in the goal. Her shot-stopping ability and ability to deal with crosses are strengths. She can come in and compete for time in goal immediately and we are excited to bring her in and see what she can do for us."

Grace Terrill | Ronald, Wash. | Cle Elum Roslyn HS | 5-7 | Forward
Grace Terrill is a local product out of Ronald, Wash., where she a multi-sport athlete. Besides soccer, Terrill also played basketball and softball and ran track.
Terrill broke the Yakima Valley all-time scoring record with 163 career goals, just two shy of the all-time Washington state high school record. She also dished out 82 assists.
Terrill was named First Team All-League as a freshman, sophomore and junior and was named the league MVP as a freshman. Her team named her the Most Outstanding Offensive Player her freshman through junior years.
At the state level, she was a First Team Midfielder as a freshman and a Second Team Midfielder as a sophomore and junior. She also set Cle Elum Roslyn High School records in total goals and assists as well as most goals and assists for a season.
CLUB TEAM: Central Washington Sounders
PERSONAL: Plans to major in engineering at Eastern Washington.
BODNAR BITE: "Grace is one of the hardest working front runners I have seen. We've watched her for several years now and she continues to impress as she is a natural goal scorer and finds herself in the right spot often. Grace has a personality and work ethic that is second to none and we look forward to adding her to a talented group of attacking players."

Alexis "LuLu" Sadler | Camas, Wash. | Mountain View HS | Defender
Alexis Sadler is an in-state product who had a successful four years at Mountain View High School in Camas, Wash. She also played volleyball and basketball and ran track and cross country.
Sadler was a two-time MVP at Mountain View and was also named captain her senior year. She also earned First Team All-League for two consecutive years. She led her club, the Washington Timbers, to three state cup championships and a Surf Cup championship.
As a defender, she has scored five goals with 10 assists during her career.
CLUB TEAM: Washington Timbers
PERSONAL: Plans to major in either communications or business at Eastern Washington.
BODNAR BITE: "LuLu is a fantastic athlete and can run like a deer. We see her helping us in several different areas on the field as she comes up to speed technically with the college game. We are excited to have her and look forward to the future with her in our group."

Maddy Pravongviengkham | Lake Elsinore, Calif. | Temescal Canyon HS | 5-4 | Forward
Maddy Pravongviengkham comes to Cheney after four standout years at Temescal Canyon High School in Lake Elsinore, Calif., where she also ran track in addition to playing soccer.
She was named Rookie of the Year in 2016-17 and MVP in 2017-18 and was a finalist for the Surf Cup in 2019.
CLUB TEAM: BYSC Corona United, Southern California
PERSONAL: Plans to major in biology at Eastern Washington.
BODNAR BITE: "Maddy is incredibly technical and crafty in how she plays. She has an ability to see the field well and set people up in good sports in front of the goal. We look forward to seeing how she adds to our group this year."
