SAN DIEGO, Calif.-- The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team completed its three match road trip in California today (March 31) with a 4-3 loss against San Diego. After today's match, the Eagles now have an overall record of 3-11 and 1-4 in Big Sky Conference play.
"One thing athletes must have is the ability to be resilient and you have to have grit," said head coach Steve Clark. "We had every opportunity to win today despite playing severely below ability level and a 4-3 loss is rough. We just have to get better at being more aggressive in doubles and in some positions, being more aggressive in singles early on. We just have to persevere. We are still a bit young in discipline, but I don't put too much stock in young vs. old. Maturity is often an x-factor and this trip exposed several things to work on."
