CHENEY, Wash.-- The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team will compete in their final match of the 2019 season this Saturday (April 20) when they host neighboring Idaho in Cheney, Wash. The Eagles have an overall record of 4-14 and 2-7 in Big Sky Conference play, with two conference victories over Northern Colorado (5-2) and last weekend's win over Montana (5-2).
"We are looking forward to battling this weekend and taking a little momentum to the match. It will be senior captain
Jeremy Field's last home match as an Eagle so I am sure the guys will be fired up for him," said head coach Steve Clark.
The Vandals are 5-14 overall and are also 2-7 in Big Sky play. Idaho has five victories over Lewis-Clark State College (6-1), George Fox University (4-3), Seattle University (7-0), Northern Colorado (6-1) and Weber State (4-3). The Vandals are led by head coach Daniel Hangstefer.
Saturday's match is set to begin at 1 p.m. Pacific time at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse in Cheney, Wash.
