Box Score FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.-- The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team traveled to Northern Arizona today (April 7) where they fell 6-1. After today's loss, the Eagles now have an overall record of 3-13 and 1-6 in Big Sky conference.
"There are usually two sides to the coin," said head coach Steve Clark. "Even with the severe altitude change, we did as well as other altitude teams. What is especially impressive is the guys fighting close in matches despite the new NCAA rule preventing practice on the same days as matches. With this rule it becomes extremely difficult when you are not used to altitude. Nonetheless,
Manuel Balce found a way to fight and win at number three singles and we had some momentum in three other matches in the second sets. We look forward to home matches in Cheney."
