Four Eastern Washington Games Aired on SWX
Fans throughout Eastern Washington can catch the Eagle Football team on SWX, and five other times on other TV networks
There will be four opportunities for Eastern Washington University football fans in the region to watch the Eagles live on SWX TV, and five other chances on other television entities.
The first SWX broadcast will be Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. Pacific time when Eastern hosts Lindenwood in the home opener for the Eagles. Eastern's Hall of Fame Game on Sept. 28 against North Dakota will be aired on SWX starting at 2 p.m. The broadcasts continue on Nov. 2 (Northern Arizona) and Nov. 23 (Portland State) in a pair of games which begin at 1 p.m.
SWX, a sister station of KHQ in Spokane, is available over-air on channels 6.2 in Spokane/Cheney/Coeur d'Alene/Sandpoint/Lewiston, 23.3 in Yakima and 25.3 in the Tri-Cities. The station is also available via Comcast 306/112 in Spokane; Davis Cable 37/310 in Cheney; Spectrum 1245 in Coeur d'Alene & Pullman/Moscow; Charter 183 in Tri-Cities/Yakima; Cable One 36 in Lewiston; Northland Cable 317 in Moses Lake; and Northland Cable 115 in Sandpoint.
Sam Adams, sports director at SWX, will handle the play-by-play duties for SWX through much of the year. The main analyst is Bill Ames.
The fifth EWU home game is Oct. 12 against Northern Colorado, and that game will be shown on ROOT Sports. All 10 of the games broadcast on ROOT in 2019 will also be aired on DirecTV's Audience Network and select games will also be available via AT&T SportsNet. ROOT Sports Northwest may be found on DirectTV channel 687 and DISH channel 426, and ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain are on channels 683 and 414, respectively.
Eastern's road game at Montana on Oct. 26 will also be aired by ROOT and will begin at 11:05 a.m. Pacific time. The non-conference schedule for the Eagles concludes at Idaho on Sept. 21 in a game that begins at noon and will also be televised by ROOT.
Eastern opens the season at the University of Washington in a game which will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks at noon on Aug. 31. Eastern's game at Sacramento State on Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. will be aired on Eleven Sports, which is available on various platforms including DirecTV channel 623.
A total of nearly 50 Big Sky Conference games will be televised in 2019. In addition, all Big Sky Conference games except for those on ROOT Sports may be seen live on Pluto TV. Download the Pluto TV app at the Apple and Google Play Store or watch online at Pluto.tv.
