As a result of an inconclusive Covid-19 test result within the Eastern Washington University men's basketball program, tonight's (Dec. 18) game between Northern Arizona and Eastern Washington in Flagstaff, Ariz., has been canceled.
However, the two teams will meet Saturday at 3:05 p.m. Pacific time if the pending test result is received and is negative. Friday's canceled game will be considered a no-contest and will not be re-scheduled.
Both games were previously scheduled to take place at 11:05 a.m. Pacific time on Friday and Saturday, but were postponed yesterday.
Saturday's game, if played, will take place at the Rolle Activity Center on the NAU campus, and will be the Big Sky Conference opener for both schools. Northern Arizona is traveling to Denver for a game on Sunday, therefore, that day is not an option for an EWU-NAU game.
The Eagles enter the doubleheader with a 1-4 record, including a trio of losses by a total of just 11 points after leading at halftime and with 10 minutes left in each. The Lumberjacks are 0-3.
