Men’s Tennis Earns Shutout Over Whitworth for First Win of 2020

The win also marked the first for Jared Burnham as the head coach at Eastern Washington

CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team hosted Whitworth on Saturday morning (Feb. 1) for its 2020 home opener inside the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse. The Eagles ended up in the win column for the first time this season, sweeping the Pirates 7-0 to move to 1-2 on the season.
 
"It was a good effort today," said head coach Jared Burnham, who picks up his first win at the helm for Eastern Washington. "I'm really happy with how the guys played smart points."
