CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team hosted Weber State today (Mar. 7) at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse to a loss of 4-3. The Eagles now have an overall 1-9 and an 0-3 Big Sky Conference record while the Wildcats advance to 3-1 and 8-7 overall.

Martin Bats reach a two-match winning streak in doubles play after defeating both conference foes Northern Colorado and Weber State at the No. 2 spot.
"We fought a tough battle today after facing a good team who came prepared. My players fought hard but we just couldn't finish in the end," said head coach
Jared Burnham. "I am proud of the resilience my players showed on the court today. We knew the conference was going to be competitive this season and I look forward to a strong performance tomorrow against Idaho State."
Following the match, the Eagles now catch a two-match losing streak and an overall series record of 9-12 against the Wildcats.
