CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team opens Big Sky Conference play hosting Portland State on Feb. 27 at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse in Cheney, Wash. The Eagles are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Pacific time as they currently sit with an 0-6 overall record.
The Eagles have an overall series record of 15-5 and a two-match losing streak against Portland State. Eastern fell to the Vikings 5-2 on the road last time out but currently hold an 8-1 home record against PSU.
The Vikings are led by head coach Vetu Mam, who enters his second season at the helm. Portland State currently sits at 3-3 and hold a three-match winning streak after defeating Pacific University, Linfield College and Lewis & Clark College, respectively.
Following the match, the Eagles host Idaho State on March 6 at 1 p.m. PT at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse in Cheney, Wash.
