CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team hosted Idaho State today (March 6) at fell short 5-2 inside the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse in Cheney, Wash. The Eagles continue to search for their first victory as they fall to a 0-8 overall record while Idaho State moves to 2-7 overall.
"We played well in doubles play but we seem to continue to feel slightly timid at the end of the rounds," said head coach
Jared Burnham. "In singles play, we need to believe in ourselves more and strike some confidence into one another."
Eastern saw the pair of
Wout Doumen and
Erik Sarlvik find victory in doubles play in a 7-5 score and Doumen would also collect a singles win with
Bruno Ortega at the No.3 and No.5 spots, respectively.
