CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University men's tennis squad hosted Whitman College today and swept the Blues 7-0 at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse. With the victory, the Eagles improve to 2-5 overall with four consecutive Big Sky matches up next.
 
"The guys really stuck to the game plan," said head coach Jared Burnham. "They kept progressing the whole time and the results really showed."
 
The Eagles took down the Blues in dominating fashion, both in doubles and singles play. Drew Dillon and Steven Paz teamed up at the No. 3 doubles spot to goose egg their opponents, 6-0. Then, in singles play, they both controlled their match by allowing only one point across the two competitions. 
 
Erik Sarlvik and Manuel Balce showed similar strength teaming up in doubles play, allowing only two points at the No. 1 spot.
