Eagles Drop Contest Against Broncos

Men's Tennis wins two points on Friday

Eastern Washington men's tennis hosted Boise State Friday afternoon in a quick non-conference matchup. The Eagles competed well, but came up short against the Broncos, 5-2, at Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse.

"Jeremy Mueller played a great match today. He continues to improve," head coach Jared Burnham said. "Erik Sarlvik also played well. Their mentality was in the right place today."

Mueller earned a win at the No. 1 singles spot, winning the first set, 6-0, and the third 6-4.

Sarlvik grabbed a point for the Eagles at the No. 4 spot, winning in three sets. He rallied to win the final two sets after dropping the first.

Eastern's record falls to 2-11 on the season and 2-4 in Cheney.
