Eastern Washington men's tennis wrapped up its weekend schedule on Saturday afternoon, falling 7-0 to Montana at Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse. The Eagles fell in their second contest to the Grizzlies this season after dropping two-of-three doubles matches and being shutout in singles today.
"Tough day. Give credit to Montana; they did the little things better," head coach
Jared Burnham said. "We played well in doubles."
Manuel Balce and
Wout Doumen won their doubles matchup, 6-4, at the No. 2 spot.
Brady Thomas and
Drew Dillon nearly earned the Eagles the doubles point, coming up just short at the No. 3 spot, 6-7.
The Eagles now sit at 0-6 in the Big Sky and 2-12 overall this season.
