CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team hits the road for Big Sky Conference play against Portland State this Friday, March 11 at 2 p.m. Pacific Time in Beaverton, Ore. The following day, the Eagles face non-conference opponent Portland at 9 a.m. PT at the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center in Portland, Ore.

The Eagles have an overall series record of 15-6 with a three-match losing streak against Portland State. Eastern fell to the Vikings 5-2 at home last time out, but found success in taking the doubles point and singles win in
Manuel Balce at the No. 1 spot.
The Vikings are led by head coach Vetu Mam, who enters his third season at the helm. Portland State currently sits at 2-7 overall and 0-2 in conference play, with a four-match losing streak. The Vikings fell to Montana and Sacramento State in their previous two matches.
KNOWING YOUR OPPONENT: Portland
The Pilots are 1-4 overall and coming off a 7-0 victory over Portland State. They look to face Montana State before clashing with the Eagles.
The Eagles last faced Portland on the road last season and walked away with a 7-0 loss to the Pilots. EWU has an overall series record of 2-36 versus Portland and is currently sitting at a seven-match losing streak with their last victory dated back to April of 2008 in Portland, Ore.
The squad is led by head coach Aaron Gross who enters his 23
