Men’s Tennis Takes on Oregon for Two Matches

The Eagles close out the regular season in Eugene, Ore.

CHENEY, Wash. - The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team takes on Oregon for two matches beginning on Friday, April 15 and Sunday, April 17, both starting at 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time at the Student Tennis Center in Eugene, Ore. The Eagles sit 2-14 overall with an 0-8 Big Sky Conference record.

The Eagles return after celebrating Senior Day last Thursday in which they hosted Sacramento State to the EWU Tennis Courts. Before the match, Eastern honored Jeremy Mueller, Wout Doumen, Manuel Balce, and Prabhdeep Sangha for their final conference and home match.

Balce and Steven Paz both found success against the Hornets, each winning their singles matches in two sets.

The Oregon Ducks currently sit 11-11 overall and 1-5 in the Pac-12 Conference. They return after falling to Stanford last weekend, 4-0, and will take on Arizona in the mornings before facing EWU in the evenings.

The Ducks are led by Nils Schyllander, who enters his 12th season at the helm and 18th year in the UO program.
