Eagles Fall to the Ducks in First of Two Matches

Eastern is back in action this Sunday for final season match-up

EUGENE, Ore. - The Eastern Washington University men's tennis team completed one of two consecutive matches against the Oregon Ducks tonight and fell 6-0 in Eugene, Ore. The Eagles will clash with the Ducks one last time to close out the regular season this Sunday, April 17 at 6:30 Pacific Time. 

Eastern only competed in singles play today, finding some success with freshmen Steven Paz at No. 5 and Drew Dillon at No. 6 position. Paz retained his swing early on, fighting for glory but falling short in a 7-5 defeat in set one. The California native would fall in set two (6-2) to end his match. 

At the No. 6 position, after falling 6-1 in set one, Dillon sealed a few nice swings in an attempt to force a third set but ultimately fell 7-5 in set two.
