After a three-week break from competition, the Eastern Washington University cross country team will break into two groups to race in two separate meets this weekend. The top-eight runners will make their way to Columbia, Mo., for the Gans Creek Classic this Friday (Sept. 30th.). The rest of the Eagles will take the road to Walla Walla, Wash., for the Whitman College Open this Saturday (Oct. 1st).
For the third meet of the season, the Gans Creek Classic will include the men to race the 8k at 7 A.M. and the women to race the 6k at 7:45 A.M. Pacific time. This meet will be hosted by the University of Missouri on the Gans Creek Cross Country Course. The eight women representing the Eagles are

Cameron Stuard. Eastern Washington will be racing against schools from all over the country, including Big Sky Conference foe Weber State.
The rest of the squad will be traveling to the Whitman College Open in Walla Walla, Wash. The women will be running in the 6k at 10 A.M. while the men run the 8k at 10:45 A.M.
The cross country team will come together again for the L&C Invite on Oct. 15th in Estacada, Ore. They will then participate in the last regular meet of the season at the Sasquatch Invite (Oct. 26th) in Spokane, Wash. Afterwards EWU will be hosting, for the first time since 2010, the Big Sky Championship at the Fairways Golf course in Cheney, Wash. The men will be racing the 8k at 10 A.M. and the women will run the 5k at 11 A.M. The meet will be a free admission event.
