Eastern Washington men's tennis opened its home schedule on Sunday (Jan. 22), hosting the Montana Grizzlies at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse. In the dual, Montana defeated Eastern 7-0, sweeping the singles and doubles matches. The Eagles are now 0-2 on the season and Montana is 3-1.
Singles
Steven Paz would face Gustav Theilgaard in the second singles position. The sophomore competed tough, but came up short 6-7, 1-6.
Tyler Dalos, competing in the number four spot, battled Moritz Stoeger. The freshman fought for every point, but fell short 2-6, 6-7.
Doubles
At the number one doubles' spot,
Erik Sarlvik and
Caden Kammerer joined up to play Gustav Theilgaard and George Russell. Sarlvik and Kammerer went back-and-forth with the two Grizzlies, but came up short, 6-4.
