CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington Track and Field will head to the Palouse this week to compete in the 2023 Big Sky Indoor Championships, taking place at the Kibbie Dome at the University of Idaho on Feb. 23-25. Multi-events begin on Thursday to kick off the highly anticipated meet featuring the best from across the conference.

Headlining the Eagles' efforts headed into the championships are Bobby Say, Savannah Schultz and Hally Ruff.

Say enters the week atop the Big Sky Season Performance List in the men's triple jump with a mark of 15.96 meters, achieved at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational on Feb. 10. He also ranked third in the long jump at 7.26 meters.

Schultz and Ruff are tied for first at 4.06 meters in the women's pole vault, also achieved at the Don Kirby on Feb. 10.

Other Eagles hunting for hardware and sitting in the Top 5 of the Big Sky season performance list headed into the championships include:

• Elijah Conley (men's heptathlon), 4,713 (3rd) [pictured above]
• Brayden Freitag (men's pole vault), 5.05m (3rd)
• Joe Gauthier (men's 60m), 6.81 (3rd)
• Alax Grimes (men's weight throw), 18.31m (5th)
• Chris Homen (men's heptathlon), 4,603 (4th)
• Zach Klobutcher (men's pole vault), 5.21m (2nd)
• Madelyn Knight (women's 60m), 8.64 (5th)
• Cody Teevens (men's heptathlon), 4,560 (5th)

Multi-events in Moscow will begin on Thursday at 10 a.m. The meet will conclude on Saturday at approximately 4 p.m., with the awards ceremony at approximately 4:30.
