Back at home, Eastern Washington men's tennis hosted No. 70 Norther Arizona at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse today (March 31). The Lumberjacks defeated the Eagles, 7-0 in the matchup. Eastern is now 4-9 on the season and 0-4 in Big Sky contests. NAU improves to 14-2 and 2-0 in conference.
The Eagles battled in doubles, with
Steven Paz and
Erik Sarlvik defeating Daniel Dillon and Dominik Buzonics 6-4.
Tyler Dalos and
Caden Kammerer left everything they had on the courts against Maikel De Boes and Facundo Tumosa. The duo had a 5-4 lead but could not hold on, falling 6-7.
Paz also competed well in singles, pushing Tumosa to three sets, but ultimately coming up short (4-6, 6-2, 2-6). Sarlvik forced Buzonics to three sets as well, but was unable to win the matchup (6-4, 2-6, 0-6).
